Firstly, we would like to wish all our customers a very happy new year, after the best Christmas to date we are back in the shop after a little break and looking forward to a busy few months.

February

Valentines is just around the corner and we have some lovely goodies for that special person in your life including romantic hampers, champagne truffles, heart shaped chocolate boxes, heart lollipops and much more, looking for something a bit quirky? Our heart shaped cupcakes and macaroons are sure to delight.

This month sees the first school holiday of 2012, call in and treat the kids to a chocolate cat, sheep or pig, something a little different to keep them entertained.

March

The month kicks off with St Davids Day, in store we’ll be celebrating all things Welsh, including some NEW delicious welsh cakes and divine welsh chocolates from the ‘The Chocolate House’.

Sunday 18th heralds Mothers Day, not a date to be missed, our chocolate gift boxes from £5 are the perfect present to show her you care or why not indulge her with a gift box of the famous ‘Gower Cottage Brownies’.

April

Easter is earlier this year, which means you’ll need your chocolate eggs at the ready for the first weekend of April, but don’t despair So Cocoa has everything you need to treat all the family, from dark chocolate eggs for Dad, clown face eggs and farmyard chocolate animal hampers for the kids, our beautiful half eggs filled with chocolate truffles for Mum and for that extra special person try our keepsake papermache eggs.

Also in store we have mouthwatering macaroons by Marmalade Cookery school, occasion cakes and wedding cakes by the super talented Jenny Kircough alongside our delicious desserts and homemade cakes.

This weekend to celebrate Guy Fawkes night we have some delicious baked delights to tempt you, why not sample our toffee apple chocolate fudge cake as the sky lights up or stay extra warm by the bonfire with one of our spiced cinnamon and toffee apple muffins or treat the kids to our bonfire inspired cupcakes sure to delight them alongside some sparklers.

This halloween at So Cocoa sample our peculiar marmite chocolate bars sure to alarm some trick or treaters…Our halloween cupcakes topped with little pumpkins or deathly black roses are flying out alongside our spooky chocolate lollipops. This weekend we’ll have delicious pumpkin pie in store as well as dangerously rich dark chocolate torte covered in white chocolate cobwebs…Happy halloween!

If you’ve ever wanted to create beautiful professional looking cakes a lesson with Jenny Kircough is a must. Jenny runs cupcake classes where you can learn how to make delicate flowers, perfect your piping techniques and learn techniques such as embossing. Jenny also runs designer handbag classes, as pictured above.This winter look out for a seasonal lesson where you can learn how to decorate a christmas cake, sure to impress guests. So Cocoa

As a listing in a budget eating feature, So Cocoa is of limited practical use, but, blimey, it tastes good. A gourmet chocolatier, hidden up a side street in Mumbles, it also has a sideline in superb homemade and local, artisan-produced cakes. The pastry on its citron tart doesn’t so much melt as magically evaporate in the mouth. There are whopping whoopie pies, great brownies and, a little less impressively, serviceable carrot cake. My advice? Buy some cakes, grab a takeaway coffee elsewhere, find a bench down on the seafront, and enjoy. And if you’re not hungry, buy a cake for later. Mouthful for mouthful it may the best £2 you spend in Swansea.

Mumbles Fashion Week (3^rd- 8^th)

So Cocoa will be participating in Mumbles late night event this week, on Thursday 6th, selling our delicious products so you can indulge in three of our favourite things…chocolate, cakes and fashion.

National Chocolate Week (10^th- 14^th)

Free chocolate samples…half price chocolate cupcakes…5% off all So Cocoa chocolate gift boxes…a complementary chocolate with every purchase over £10…plus more offers in store.

National Baking Week (17^th – 21^st)

In store delicious baked delights…whoopie pies…tortes …brownies .…cheesecakes …cupcakes…sponges…carrot cake and many more. Try for yourself what the Guardian newspaper described as “superb homemade and local artisan produced cakes”

Half Term (24^th- 28^th)

Call in and grab the children a Halloween lollipop and stock up on chocolate for the 31^st to treat the kids rather than trick them on Monday.

November

Fireworks Night (5^th)

Tasty Treats to warm you on Guy Fawkes including toffee apple fudge cake and bonfire inspired cupcakes.

Our festive stock is arriving throughout the month so be sure to call in to avoid disappointment.

Mumbles Lights turn on

Like last year we will be selling our delicious lollipops and chocolates throughout the parade, so no one goes hungry while they wait for Santa to arrive, the shop will also be open late until 7pm.
